On October 24-26, a delegation of the Historical and Political Sciences Faculty, TSU, visited the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek (NUU). During the visit, the experts shared their experience in conducting research on the specifics of international scientific and educational cooperation and discussed possible areas of scientific collaboration.

On February 27, 2020 the international workshop 'Formats and ways of cooperation between Russian and Uzbek universities in training skilled staff' will be organized at Samarkand State University with the assistance of the Tomsk State University Center for Eurasian Studies. Workshops participants are representatives of Tomsk State University, Samarkand State University, other Samarkand universities, authorities and business of Samarkand region. The topics for discussion are modern technological development and its influence on labor market; main directions and priorities of social and economic reforms in Russia and Uzbekistan; experience of cooperation between universities and employers organizations in training staff in demand; promising ways of cooperation between universities of Russia and Uzbekistan in joint training of specialists in physico-technical, natural-scientific, social and humanitarian fields.

On December 17, 2019 the international workshop “Network cooperation between Russian and Uzbek universities: state of play and options for the promotion” was held at Andijan State University by Tomsk State University Center for Eurasian Studies. The topics for discussion were the priorities of the development of educational and research activities in the universities of Uzbekistan and Russia; the legal aspects of the academic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia; the opportunities and ways of educational and research cooperation between the universities of Russia and Uzbekistan; the experience of the development and implementation of double degree programs with foreign universities.
