International workshop “Forming the Eurasian partnership: the input of the expert and university community”
On April 26, 2018, the International workshop “Forming the Eurasian partnership: the input of the expert and university community” took place at TSU organized by TSU Center for Eurasian Studies, TSU Faculty of Historical and Political Studies, TSU Siberian Institute of the Future, and Expert club “Siberia-Eurasia” (Novosibirsk).
The participants discussed the priority topics for the expert research, formats for the interaction with the EAEU institutes, authorities, and business, promising projects for the joint expert work between Eurasian integration researchers. Besides that, experts and participants of the round table discussed the issue of the shortage of the specialists for the development of foreign economic ties between the EAEU countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia) and possible solutions to it within the framework of the universities’ curricula.
Among the participants of the workshop were the representatives of the Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tomsk Region Administration, Tomsk State University, Expert club “Siberia-Eurasia”, as well as well-known experts from the EAEU countries:
- Sergey Domnin, head of the World political and economic research program of the Institute of World Economics and Politics under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Astana);
- Magbat Spanov, professor of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the University of International Business (Almaty);
- Pavel Stolyarenko-Gromsky, director of the “Delovaya Evrasiya” analytical portal (Bishkek).
