International round table "Relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere at the present stage"

On October 24-26, a delegation of the Historical and Political Sciences Faculty, TSU, visited the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek (NUU). During the visit, the experts shared their experience in conducting research on the specifics of international scientific and educational cooperation and discussed possible areas of scientific collaboration.

Associate professors of TSU A.G. Dankov, S.N. Miroshnikov and A.M. Pogorelskaya introduced their presentations at the international round table "Relationships between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere at the present stage", jointly organized by TSU and NUU. The Head of TSU World Politics Department S.M. Yun (who also made a presentation) and the Dean of NUU History Faculty A.G. Muminov were the moderators of the round table. TSU staff reports were devoted to the aspects of scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as the difficulties of building national innovation systems in these countries.

In addition, during the visit, the delegation from TSU met with representatives of the all departments of the NUU Faculty of History. Artyom Dankov gave a lecture on the role of language and culture as tools of "soft power". Sergey Miroshnikov made an overview of the technological revolutions impact on international relations. Anastasia Pogorelskaya spoke about the peculiarities of academic mobility migration, in particular, in the post-Soviet space.

As a result of the visit, representatives of TSU and NUU reached an agreement on joint research and publications.
