International workshop 'New mechanisms for implementing trade and economic policy in EAEU and CIS member states: regional, national, and supranational levels'
On February 26, 2019 the International workshop 'New mechanisms for implementing trade and economic policy in EAEU and CIS member states: regional, national, and supranational levels' took place at the National Research Tomsk State University. The workshop aimed at comparing the experience of export support in EAEU and CIS member states on the national, regional, and supranational levels; defining priority topics for the expert and analytical work for export support in EAEU and CIS countries.
The workshop was also devoted to the following issues:
- What mechanisms and instruments are used by EAEU and CIS member states for supporting national exporters?
- What is the degree of the effectiveness of the used instruments and what are the main issues of the export support policy?
- What are the main novelties of the export support mechanism in Russia within the framework of the national project “International cooperation and export”?
- What topics of foreign economic activity are of interest to regional business and regional authorities?
- What competencies are necessary for the academic community in order to prepare expert papers for business and authorities?
Co-organizers of the workshop: TSU Center for Eurasian Studies, TSU School of Historical and Political Studies, the Expert club “Siberia-Eurasia” (Novosibirsk), the Siberian Institute of Management – branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Novosibirsk), the Eurasian Cooperation Development Foundation (Moscow).
Speakers included the representatives of the Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tomsk Region Administration, as well as the invited experts from Central Asian countries:
- Sergey Domnin, chief editor of “Expert Kazakhstan” journal (Almaty, Kazakhstan);
- Kholida Usmanova, consultant and chairperson of the expert council of the Association of the customs brokers, business coacher (Tashkent, Uzbekistan);
- Sergey Krivoruchko, head of the LLC “New Technologies Group of Companies”, ecologist, corresponding member of the International Academy of Environmental Safety and Environmental Management (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan)
