Lecture by Professor Sergey Afontsev at TSU CES

✔ Topic: "Promising directions for the development of Eurasian integration". As part of the lecture, Sergey Afontsev presented the results of the big research project on this topic that was recently completed. Among the discussed issues: the scenarios for the EAEU development, possible formats for the relations between the EAEU and the CIS, the evaluation of the results of the free trade area between the EAEU and Vietnam, talks and prospects for the free trade areas between the EAEU and other non-CIS states, the results of Russia’s presidency in EAEU in 2018.

✔ Professor Sergey Afontsev is a Corresponding Member of the RAS, head of the Department of the World Economy at MSU, professor at the Department of the World Political Processes, MGIMO University, head of the Department of Economic Theory at Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations. He is the author of more than 140 research publications in Russian and English. His sphere of interest covers the issues of international political economy, global economic governance, foreign trade, industrial and investment policy, economic specialization.
