ABOUT CES
The Center for Eurasian Studies is a research unit of the National Research Tomsk State University.
Our goal is to develop expertise and education at Tomsk State University in the area of Eurasian integration. We cooperate with research institutions and scholars in Russia and abroad.
We focus on providing expertise on Eurasian integration, teaching to students of TSU Master program "Eurasian Integration" and supervising their research.
Our research areas include:
- development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) as an integration project;
- social, economic and political trends in EEU Member States and their impacts on national foreign policies and activities within the EEU;
- cooperation between the EEU and countries and international organizations in the post-Soviet space, East Asia, the Middle East, Europe and worldwide;
- conjunction between the EEU and other integration projects in Eurasia, including China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the European Union;
- international cooperation in education and science.
Our research and expert activities are:
- online publication of research papers in Russian and English;
- cooperation with universities and institutions in Russia and abroad to foster academic mobility and joint research;
- involving MA and PhD students and Postdocs in research;
- holding public events;
- expert analysis, consulting and monitoring in the framework of federal research programs, contracts with businesses, regional authorities and NGOs.
Our educational activities include:
- supporting Master and Doctoral programs at Tomsk State University;
- publication of textbooks and teaching materials;
- organizing summer schools, conferences and seminars for students.
